The loss of a dear Friend and Loved Pet

It is with a very sad heart that I post this message.

This morning at around 4am my loved pet and companion, Zii went to be with God.

Zii quitely slipped from this life and into the the Kingdom of Heaven while I was holding her and praying to God to protect her and keep her safe in Heaven.

Zii came into my life shortly after I moved in to my apartment in Bloomington. I got Zii from a very dear friend in the Fall of 2004 because my Friend could not have pets where she was moving to and my other cat, Kitkat, needed a

My Calling!

Hello everyone,

I want you to know that I have received my calling. I am going into Ministry.

After finding out how expensive it is.... We accept all donations!

Each class is 5 weeks long and all my lower lever classes cost $1,155 per 5 weeks. Each upper level class is $1,300 for 5 weeks!

I have talked to the School I want to go to, Hope International University, and without looking at my Transcripts, they estimate that I have about a year and a half to get my B.S. degree! After that, I can choose to go to the Seminary or peruse a Masters degree in Church Leadership. If I would like to get into Senior Pastor ship, I should pursure the Seminary route. Other callings...I should go into Church Leadership.

I just spent 3 days in the hospital...I went in on Saturday night! I told Tina that she could call 911 or I would do it! Then she panicked! She does not deal with emergencies very well!

Well, I went to Valley Hospital in Las Vegas. I got into the ambulance at about 930pm and was told at about 0130am that I was being admitted to the "Chest Pain Unit".

I saw the Doctor for about 5 minutes and had 2 blood tests and 3 EKG's before they admitted me.

The first nurse I had in the Chest Pain Unit thought I was in the Psych unit and would NOT let me close the door to my room. The room I was in was shared by the Chest Pain Unit and the Psych unit! I was moved into a "CPU" room after my third section of my stress test.

My Sgt. Skip Hoover came to see me in the hospital. I thought that was very nice of him, but then I found out that he talked to Tina for about 30 minutes! That is never good! :)

Well, they found no reason why I was having chest pain....even after all the tests that they gave me. Now I am out 4 days of work and Thousands of dollars in debit to Valley Hospital. Not to mention the ambulance ride!

I have been fighting many issues all my life, but each time I find out what I need to do. Satan rears his evil head and tries to 'derail' my plans. However, this time he is unsuccessful. I am here to serve God! And no matter what Satan throws in my way I will overcome his challenges!

For years God has sent me little messages that I needed to serve him. The Friday before Thanksgiving I was at work (my part-time job at Celine Dion's home), and heard the song "Three Wooden Crosses" by Randy Travis and I felt this very 'physcial' force that I needed to serve God!

After I accepted this in my life, I felt a very calming and peaceful feeling over my life!

I have been talking to the Pastors at my Church and have been given a lot of direction. However, our Church can only provide me with $1,000 a year at most for my goal of achiving Christian Minstry. More that likey, $300 is what I will get from my Church.

I like serving others, but need to find out how God wants me to serve!

Love you all, and God Bless you,

Kurt

Knot tying

On October 12 2007 I, Kurt, asked Tina if she would marry me.

I am happy to report that she said that she would. We will be getting married in Bullhead City on April 12, 2008!

Tina, Bev and Annette have all been very busy planning and getting ready for the wedding.

Us Guy's have been waiting for the orders from "them who must be obeyed".

More on the details to come!

Hello Again!

Well how is everyone?

I hope that you are all well. Sorry we have not posted in a long time, but we have been very busy getting settled in.

We both love our new jobs. I have gone through a lot of changes in my position at Harrah's Security. I was a Bike Officer on Graveyard Shift for about 5 weeks. But then I was asked if I wanted to transfer to Day Shift as an Emergency Medical Technician. I took the Day Shift position and have loved it!

I also took a part time position working security on my days off. Tina also has a new position at Target. Tina starts at her new job on Saturday 10/6/07. So now that we both have 2 jobs, we will see less of each other, but there will be less stress in our lives because we be getting caught up on all of our bills! Heck, we might even put some money away for once! That is after we pay back Tina's Mom and Dad! =)

Well more to come soon!

Wow!

Well, a lot has happened over the last several days! All of it good!

We have about 85% of all our remaining stuff packed. Tonight we are looking at trucks to see if a 16' truck will be big enough for all of our stuff. We then get to pack all of the train stuff so we can give it to Daniel.

I am thinking that I will start packing the computer stuff this week also. Most of what we have downstairs can be packed. We just need the computers out to use.

I am also going to move all the boxes out to the garage so we can see how much we have and give us room in the house. Lots of work left to do. I figure I can do the labor part and Tina and I can focus on coordinating things for the move.

Well, time to go. Will try to write more later today.

Good Morning!

How is everyone? We are doing GREAT!

Well..almost! We are getting everything packed and ready to move. We both have thrown a lot of our stuff away! We have filled a 10 yard dumpster with stuff we did not want to keep!

I am giving all my train stuff to Daniel. I have over $1,000.00 of train stuff that I have collected over the last 6 years. I hope that Daniel and his Dad are able to get a lot of good times with all of this! Living in an apartment, I won't have the space to continue with the trains. I know that Daniel loves trains and that his Dad also is into trains. Daniel's dad uses HO scale, and I have N scale. I can think of many ways just off the top of my head that they could mix the different scales together. With all the stuff I have for trains, Daniel and his dad should have many years of enjoyment working on these trains!

We have developed a labeling system for our boxes so that we know where each box needs to go and what is in each box. We have 10 different colors of paper. Each color has a room or certain items. This way as you see a label, you know what it is right away and where it should go!

Today we are going to repack and throw more of my stuff away in the garage. Then we will move all the boxes out to the garage and organize them by color. This way, as we load the truck we will be able to pack like items together.

Tina's mom and dad will becoming down several times over the next few weeks to help us pack and get things in place. I told Tina that I DO NOT pack boxes! I will lift, carry, move, seal, label, unpack and anything else that needs to be done to the boxes. I, however, truly, royally stink at packing! I can pack things that don't break, bend, snap, crease, or in any other way won't get damaged. Breakable things...Tina and her mom can pack! =)

On the job scene for Kurt... I have an interview setup for 5/29/07 at Harrah's Casino for 6 different positions (EMT and Security positions). I also have an open invitation for US Security to talk to the Branch Manager when I get into town. Sunrise Hospital is also going to interview me for a day shift position at their Hospital.

I will be re-taking my National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Basic test soon. This is a VERY VERY hard test. I am studding for this test as much as I can with everything else going on! I have taken several practice quizzes and have scored around 75% to 80%. You need 70% to pass the National registry test. This will be a challenge for me, but I know that I can pass it. Once I pass this test, all I have to do to become a Nevada EMT-B is fill out some paperwork! :) The first time I took this test (almost 20 years ago!) I passed it with a total score of 92%! When I lived in Las Vegas before (2000) I took an employment test with AMR Special Event Team, and passed that test with a 98% score. However, the AMR test was very similar to the National Registry test, and many of the people who JUST completed the AMR EMT-B course did not pass this test! So either the test was rigged, or AMR does not have good instructors! I was scheduled to take the practical test with AMR, but moved back to Minneapolis before the test was given.

Tina and I are both very excited about our move! The support we are getting from our friends and family is amazing! Now we hope that this support also turns in to "help loading the truck" support! =)

Well time to go and get to work!

Kurt! =)

Well, I made it.........

Here is my new blog on our new web site.
Not much to say, but we are finally moving to Las Vegas on the 26th of May. And I start my new job as soon as we arrive which should be on Memorial Day.
Most of the stress is calming down, but now just need to get things packed in boxes and get all of our things in a 16 foot truck. I sure hope it's big enough for all of things.
My last day at my current job is on May 18th. The next week I will be free to get the final things situated.
It has been a busy week for me and now I'm going to lay down, watch a movie and get some R&R.

I'll write more later................... :)

Good Morning!

Well, Good morning to Everyone! I hope that today finds you all well!

I have not felt this good for this long in over 4 months! =) What a joy it is to be back up on my feet!

Last night I started to go through my old 'stuff'! My goal is to throw out over half of what I own to get ready for our move! I found some of my old army equipment. I had Daniel come over and gave him a lot of it. I had an old 'steel pot' helmet that I got from my dad when he was in the Army Reserves. I gave this to Daniel and he thought it was great! Just like I did when my Dad gave it to me. I had other things I gave to him like maps of Ft. McCoy and some old web gear. I know that Daniel's Dad will hate that I also gave him a couple camo sticks! =) That stuff is hard to get off your skin! I have other stuff like mosquito netting and shelter halves, but still need to dig them out.

Tina talked to the recruiter that she is working with last night, and found out that they are setting up an interview with a very large construction company for her. She is very excited about this opportunity. I got a call from a hospital that I applied at, and was told that the swing shift position that I applied for had been filled, but they have a day shift opening soon and would like to interview me for that position.

We are getting closer to our goal!

Well, I will talk more later today!

Kurt

Good Morning!

Well, How is everyone?

Tina and I are doing well. For now! =) Like I said last night we are facing a major change in our lives! Things are starting to come together quickly, and with in a month it will all be over and we begin a new life and new adventure!

After ending up in the emergency room at 3am Wednesday morning because I could not breath, the Doctor in the ER told me that he 'thought' I have pleurlsy. The treatment for this is the same as for gout. Which I also get from time to time, so I had the required meds at home. After work on Wednesday (yes, even after spending 3 hours in the ER with 3 hours of sleep and feeling very 'icky', I went to work!) I got home and found my gout meds. Same thing as the new perscription! Saved about $5! I took a double dose of the meds and a half dose 3 hours later when I went to sleep.

I woke up on Thursday feeling better than I have for four months! I truly can not believe how good I am feeling! No pain, no burning when taking a breath, and I don't get exhusted when I talk!

For the last four months, I have not talked to Tina much. She has taken this very personnaly and I do not blame her. I just really had a lot of problems talking. However, Thursday on the way to work, Tina asked me "are you going to let me talk?" I just had so much to say and so much saved up over that last four months that I would not stop talking! Even today I got started and just kept going! I am thinking that in a few days Tina will wish I was sick again so that she will be able to talk too! =)

Well, time to get to get back to work.

Kurt

New Blog

Well we just switched Blog stuff. We were not very happy with the lack of flexibility with the old Blogging stuff!

We are making a lot of changes in our lives in the coming weeks. I will try to keep everyone updated as to our progress on everything!

We will know a lot more in the middle of next week. We are setting our plans and nothing is finilized as of this time. But they keep getting firmer as we approach middle of next week!

Well good night to all!
