Hello Again!

Hello All!

Well we Finally are moving in to a house. Thanks to Lloyd we have found a house to rent that is only 2 houses away from them. As of today, we move in 12 days.

It will be great living in a 1,900 sq ft home with a good sized pool and very nice backyard. There is still some work to be done to the house, but the owner has really changed it from what it was before he bought it.

Well, I will post more up dates as we progress along the way.

With God’s Blessings,

Kurt

1 Peter 1:3“[Praise to God for a Living Hope] Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”

The Latest News

Well, it's been a very, very long time since we've updated our blog. Or even had the chance to write anything about the adventures in our lives. It has been such a busy year~~~!! Married in April '08, visitation with Tina's son in July, and then the news about Tina's dad about his battle with cancer in November. Tina has been following her parents daily on her dad's recovery! Even took a week to be with them over New Year's Eve.

Tina also had attended an out-patient program here in Vegas last Oct/Nov to deal, or work with her alcohol addiction. It went good for a while; but once she heard about her dad, she went back to drinking. Not as much, but to the point of getting a good buzz nightly. She has so many good friends to support her through this, and they will be attending a Recovery Group at our local church on Friday nights. Tina thought she really had a problem, but once the wine becomes more of a priority than anything else, it is an issue.

However through all of that, we did get good news on Tina's father this week. Her dad's cancer has dissipated to never-land with the chemo and radiation treatments. However he is anemic; but, with the proper iron vitamins he will hopefully recover! Her parents bought a mobile home in Apache Junction, AZ and will be flying back to North Dakota on 5/30/09. Dad had to finish his doctoring before they could fly back. Tina would love to go see her parents over Father's Day weekend, if only finances will permit.

Tina is looking forward to her son's return in July. We have set up a weekend camping at Mt. Charleston, and a few days in California near the ocean in August. Apparently, Tina's son has never been to the ocean, and we plan to have a wonderful time at several locations! During his six week visit, we will also try to get him involved in some church activities on Wednesday nights, do some swimming, and spend some quality time together.

Kurt and Tina are still attending College at Hope International College in California. Kurt is accomplishing his degree in Ministry, while Tina is applying herself to her Bachelors in Human Development. Kurt will hopefully be finished during the fall time, however; Tina will have another year or so to finish.

Well, that is a shorter version of what has been happening. We will try to update more, when we can find 30 minutes in our day.

Hugs,
Tina
