Good Morning!

How is everyone? We are doing GREAT!

Well..almost! We are getting everything packed and ready to move. We both have thrown a lot of our stuff away! We have filled a 10 yard dumpster with stuff we did not want to keep!

I am giving all my train stuff to Daniel. I have over $1,000.00 of train stuff that I have collected over the last 6 years. I hope that Daniel and his Dad are able to get a lot of good times with all of this! Living in an apartment, I won't have the space to continue with the trains. I know that Daniel loves trains and that his Dad also is into trains. Daniel's dad uses HO scale, and I have N scale. I can think of many ways just off the top of my head that they could mix the different scales together. With all the stuff I have for trains, Daniel and his dad should have many years of enjoyment working on these trains!

We have developed a labeling system for our boxes so that we know where each box needs to go and what is in each box. We have 10 different colors of paper. Each color has a room or certain items. This way as you see a label, you know what it is right away and where it should go!

Today we are going to repack and throw more of my stuff away in the garage. Then we will move all the boxes out to the garage and organize them by color. This way, as we load the truck we will be able to pack like items together.

Tina's mom and dad will becoming down several times over the next few weeks to help us pack and get things in place. I told Tina that I DO NOT pack boxes! I will lift, carry, move, seal, label, unpack and anything else that needs to be done to the boxes. I, however, truly, royally stink at packing! I can pack things that don't break, bend, snap, crease, or in any other way won't get damaged. Breakable things...Tina and her mom can pack! =)

On the job scene for Kurt... I have an interview setup for 5/29/07 at Harrah's Casino for 6 different positions (EMT and Security positions). I also have an open invitation for US Security to talk to the Branch Manager when I get into town. Sunrise Hospital is also going to interview me for a day shift position at their Hospital.

I will be re-taking my National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Basic test soon. This is a VERY VERY hard test. I am studding for this test as much as I can with everything else going on! I have taken several practice quizzes and have scored around 75% to 80%. You need 70% to pass the National registry test. This will be a challenge for me, but I know that I can pass it. Once I pass this test, all I have to do to become a Nevada EMT-B is fill out some paperwork! :) The first time I took this test (almost 20 years ago!) I passed it with a total score of 92%! When I lived in Las Vegas before (2000) I took an employment test with AMR Special Event Team, and passed that test with a 98% score. However, the AMR test was very similar to the National Registry test, and many of the people who JUST completed the AMR EMT-B course did not pass this test! So either the test was rigged, or AMR does not have good instructors! I was scheduled to take the practical test with AMR, but moved back to Minneapolis before the test was given.

Tina and I are both very excited about our move! The support we are getting from our friends and family is amazing! Now we hope that this support also turns in to "help loading the truck" support! =)

Well time to go and get to work!

Kurt! =)
